Our Story

My name is Renae, and I am the owner of Timeless Bridal Boutique — a private, in-home bridal boutique serving brides throughout the Grand Rapids, Michigan area with affordable, customizable wedding dresses and a truly personal bridal experience.
What began in 2015 as a small dream in my heart and a little bridal shop within my home has grown into a beautiful ministry, lifelong passion, and business built around serving brides with love, integrity, and excellence. As a stay-at-home mom of three, I wanted to create something different from the traditional bridal shopping experience: a peaceful and welcoming space where brides could feel comfortable, cared for, and celebrated during one of the most meaningful seasons of their lives.
For over 10 years, I have had the incredible honor of helping more than 2,000 brides find and customize the wedding dress they truly envisioned — all while helping many brides stay thousands of dollars under the cost of traditional bridal pricing and extensive alterations. My mission has always remained the same: to offer high-quality, fashion-forward, and customizable wedding gowns at an affordable price point without sacrificing beauty, experience, or personal connection.

Are appointments required?

Yes! Appointments are required. Please book through our website, or give us a call today. We can’t wait to see you!!

When should I shop for my dress?

We recommend shopping 8-10 months before your wedding. This allows plenty of time for your dress to arrive and allows time for alterations. We also have rushed options available for an additional fee and off the rack options.

How much do the gowns cost?

We offer ordered sample gowns for $800, along with an extensive clearance collection ranging from $400 down to just $50. For brides working with a shorter timeline, approximately 80% of our gowns are available to purchase directly off the rack. In addition, all of our dresses can be customized to create your dream look. While customizations may increase the cost of an ordered gown, they are often far more cost-effective than having extensive alterations completed by a seamstress after purchase.

What sizes are the sample dresses?

We have sample sizes ranging from 2-20 with the majority of the dresses being size 10 or 18. We have clips and tricks to show you what a dress would look and feel like in your correct size!

How do I know what size to order?

We will take your measurements, and your gown will be made according to your measurements. We use custom sizing rather than standard sizing because we recognize that everybody is unique and beautiful and should never be put in a standard sizing chart.

Does custom sizing mean that I do not need alterations?

No, custom sizing means that we personally take your measurements, and the designer uses your measurements as a guide to hand make your unique wedding dress. Each dress is proportionately made to each bride’s body and height and will still need alterations when your dress comes in to ensure the perfect fit.

How much do alterations typically cost?

The national average for alterations are typically $700-$1000 with some dresses needing more extensive alterations and may cost upwards of $1200+ depending on the fit, fabric, lace, beadwork, and unique seam lines use to create your dress. With our shop using custom sizing typically a this can help cut down a little bit on alterations cost, but it is not always guaranteed.

Do you offer alterations in house?

We do not, but to any bride who purchases or orders a dress from our shop, I recommend four different amazing seamstresses who are budget friendly and have 40+ years of experience, to ensure you have the perfect fit for your wedding day!

What if I plan to lose weight before my big day?

I always suggest to order your dress the size you are currently so you don’t put more stress on yourself to lose weight. You are beautiful just the way you are, but if you do continue to lose weight between the time of ordering your wedding dress and your wedding date, your seamstress can typically alter your dress 2 to 4 size smaller, with one size being about 20 pounds.

What if I’m not from the Grand Rapids area?

I am still worth the trip! I have brides drive between 3 to 5 hours or more to come to Timeless Bridal. On average, I save a bride $1800 per wedding dress purchase, so if you are looking for an affordable, custom, gorgeous wedding dress, book your appointment today!
